The Kames Hotel is a beautiful, character-filled, Victorian building that sits on the seafront overlooking the magnificent Kyles of Bute, on the Cowal peninsula.

We are a boutique, family-run hotel offering ten standard and superior rooms, with sea or garden views, comfortably furnished to a high standard. We are dog friendly and your pooch is as welcome as you are. If you are sailing through the Kyles we are the first choice for seagoers, offering 15 moorings free of charge to patrons.

Bar & Restaurant

Our restaurant is open to residents and non-residents and provides the finest quality meals prepared by skilled chefs, who source fresh produce from local suppliers; we are blessed with some of the finest meat and seafood in the UK, in this area.

Our bar offers an enviable selection of single malts and craft gins, plus an array of spirits, and a select choice of fine wines and local ales; perfect for recovering from a day out walking our spectacular landscape.

Weddings & Events

The Kames is in a magical situation, we have much experience of hosting weddings and receptions and would be delighted to provide the venue for your big day. We are also the perfect setting for Christenings and other private events and parties.

Organising a course, lecture or conference?
