Our Selkie folk guide discerning travellers across the Highlands & Islands of Scotland
Selkies are magical and marvellous creatures, they are kind, caring and intelligent. When in human form, our seals curate unique Itineraries, hosting fabulous tours across scenic Scotland and our beautiful west-coast Islands. We work closely with each client, enhancing their own ideas and aspirations of a trip to Scotland.
Our Selkie-folk combines local knowledge, ideas, expertise, fabulous local connections and most importantly, 30 years of hospitality experience in order to build a real-life travel story for you and your loved ones to be part of and enjoy. Many of our guests start and end their Selkie journey in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness or Oban. We specialise in private, multi-day tours for up to 6 people as well as supporting larger groups & societies seeking driver guides or agency tour services.
Our head-seal, Darryl is based near Oban, and many of our tours showcase our passion for Argyll, Lochaber & the nearby Islands including Mull, Iona, Staffa, Islay, Jura and Arran. Selkie has been guiding discerning travellers for more than 3 years and has lots of wonderful reviews. We also work with a number of travel partners 'B2B' and have representation in North America & Canada.
We can also conjure up & host small elopement ceremonies, A to B (via Z) scenic transfers and all manner of transport services to suit your requirements. If you're looking for the perfect driver/guide, then look no further. We will share our knowledge and experience, transport you safely in luxurious vehicles, provide food and drinks en route and help you check into the best local accommodations, make reservations for dinner and everything in between. Scottish Tours Made Simple!
The Selkie folk host small family groups (from 2 years upwards) as well as friends, couples and single travellers alike. As we work towards a tour-accessibility strategy for all, we are currently able to accommodate less-able-bodied guests with collapsable wheelchairs (i.e. users who do not require a vehicle ramp and to remain in an electric chair).
Our head seal is very committed to operating a fully accessible vehicle soon, Scotland is for everyone after all, irrespective of any disability!
