The 51st State & La Cantina

Well established family run business split over two levels and situated in the heart of Dunoon on Argyll Street. The 51st Bar and Grill situated on the ground floor has a distinctly American feel with unique memorabilia and eye catching décor. La Cantina situated on the basement level has a relaxed Italian Taverna style with homage to the business’ roots. Recently combining both menus, we pride ourselves in serving superb American, Tex Mex cuisine with a dedicated ‘favourites’ section highlighting the business’ Italian origins. Our homemade pizzas, burgers and Tex Mex favourites are complimented with our popular pasta and Italian specialities. Of course we have a terrific kids menu and Vegan selection as well as having dedicated gluten free options and our weekly Chef’s specials are as popular as ever.

Open throughout the year we served food all day from 12 noon Mon to Sat and 12.30 on a Sunday. We offer a fantastic range of soft and alcoholic drinks including excellent beer on tap, wine list, cocktails, gin selection and of course our famous ‘thick shakes’. Live music features regularly every month.
