The Colintraive

Local Restaurant with rooms

Local produce cooked simply with care

Winner of Scotsman Gastropub 2024, The Colintraive is a family-run restaurant with rooms focusing on high-quality local produce, including fresh langoustines and fish from Tarbet, Isle of Bute lamb and beef, local venison, and local coffee. It is a cosy home from home with a friendly team and delicious wines and beers to match. Chef Joe cooks an ever-changing fresh menu to enjoy for lunch or dinner. Rooms are comfortable, homely, and well appointed with luxurious cosy linens, freshly baked shortbread, and local coffee to enjoy with the views; it is a wee area of paradise on the West Coast.

The Colintraive is hidden away on Argyll's Secret Coast within the quiet village of Colintraive. Located within a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of The Loch Lomond National Park, we are less than 2 hours from Glasgow. You won't find a better stopping point on the road to Islay, Jura, Gigha and Kintyre.

We have four lovely bedrooms, contemporary ensuites, super comfy beds and stunning sea views across to the Island of Bute. Sailors are welcome to use our sailors' facilities and our five moorings close to the hotel. We have the capacity of up to 15 tonnes on a first-come, first serve for patrons
